Fruit Moment

Fruit Moment was just finished this week with all the anxiety of the pandemic left upstairs. I found it difficult to get down to my studio, but once there, …the last of the paint was there and done.

Sometimes I think that art is a bit like capturing the best of things. We’re in a world full of chaos and terror, but there are moments in the world — and in each of us — that are beautiful. Those moments are what I try to hang onto. It’s an invisible world made visible with a bit of paint and canvas to hang it on.

Today, I hope to get some solid hours in the studio. It always feels like my soul is washed a bit cleaner when I do. Like I’m more of myself — better somehow.
